Lord,

I have only ever known You.

I never truly walked beside anyone else~

they walked beside us.

You gave me lessons I sometimes felt angry about,

but in the end I became thankful for every one of them.

Because without those challenges,

I would have never learned how to keep walking

through darkness.

Sometimes life gives more dark days than light ones,

but if you look closely,

even in the darkest moments

there is always a small light passing by.

And when the road feels long

and the night feels endless,

I learned to count my steps.

Step by step.

Breath by breath.

Until the light finds me again.
